It happened all too quickly: two big guys showed up at our door at 8am. I had been up until 2am the night previously to get things organized. By mid-day, they had sent over two more guys! Four strange men, thankfully very nice, wandering through the minutia of our lives tossing it into boxes. Yikes! Needless to say, it all got done! We packed up our things, closed out the house, spent last days with our very supportive Grandparents and headed to the airport at 4am on D-day. That would be D-departure Day, thank you.
We decided to spend a week in the Bay Area before heading off to Ireland. This turned out to be a good idea. The intensity of closing up a life took it's toll. We were able to spend a lovely week decompressing with our great friends, the Heywoods, and a little visit with Natasha's dear friend Julie, while Paul worked, allowing us to tie up loose ends and pick up those things you can only find in the good old US of A.
