Departures – from Oregon to Ireland

Even with pushing out the date of our move one month to September 30th, it all came too quickly, and yet, it couldn’t come quickly enough…I had imagined that I would be crying buckets, as I’ve told many of you, but in truth, when it came down to it, I could only feel love and gratitude to my parents, and our friends, for all the support they’ve been to our family in this transition. So went the email I sent out to our school community:

“It's official. We are moving to Ireland on September 28th. Paul will
start a job on the ground in Dublin with a small company with whom he’s
been working for the past 18 months. We are extremely sad to say that
Joshua and Sasha will not be at the school this year, but equally excited
for this new adventure ahead for our family.

We want you all to know how much we will miss you and our amazing school
community! Every day we see the influence of Waldorf education in our
family life, and it has made our lives richer and more beautiful – thank
you to each of you teachers, parents, and your children, for your
contribution to this! Over these years, you become very familiar with one
another and come to love the associations and friendships that are built
over time. These memories and relationships we will hold very dearly in
our hearts.”

…so moving day came and what an adventure that was!!
